Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette was eagerly awaited in the blogosphere and after the colourful and edgy previous releases, I think a soft toned palette was a welcome new addition to the ABH family. I absolutely adore my Modern Renaissance palette so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Soft Glam Palette.

Packaging of the ABH Soft Glam Palette

The palette boasts the same beautiful velvet packaging in a light mustard yellow colour. It wouldn’t be my first choice of colour for this palette, I’d have gone for a baby pink, but I like a bit of mustard so I’m not totally against it! The palette contains 14 square pans along a rectangular box that opens to reveal a mirror in the lid.

Shades of the ABH Soft Glam Palette

The palette contains 8 matte shades and 6 shimmer/metallic shades. There’s a whole range in this palette, from lilacs to rose pinks, oranges to browns and black, burgundy and golds.

Swatches of the ABH Soft Glam Palette

Rose Pink on the lid, Dusty Rose on the outer corner, burnt orange in the crease and glistening in the inner corner

Formula of the ABH Soft Glam Palette

The formula is exactly the same as the Modern Renaissance palette (as confirmed by the head of ABH), so the mattes are so easily blend-able and the metallic shades are buttery and soft. There is a lot of kick back in the palette which has made a bit of a mess and there are some fall out from the metallics on the eyes, but the quality is good and I still love using these.

Lasting Power

The formula lasts allll day without creasing and I’m talking all day – I applied these at 6.30am this morning and they’re still going strong at 8.30pm.
