Yep, I am officially obsessed with ColourPop and I can’t keep away. They recently held a promotion for free international delivery on orders over $35, so I took advantage righttt away and frantically placed an order.
I’ll also let you know the customs and shipping deets to the UK and my experience, but I am most excited to show you what I got in my order!
I am actually unhealthily obsessed with ColourPop because their products are just so. damn. good. and I want them all. Because they aren’t easily available in the UK, it’s even more exciting when I can make an order! So let me show you what I chose.
I ordered the pressed shadow empty Magnetic Palette, three Pressed Eyeshadows, Just Peachy Lip Kit and I got a free Birthday Cake Limited Edition Super Shock Eyeshadow
First up, can we take a moment to appreciate the cutest little cards they send with their orders. All hand drawn and with a witty cute comments, it’s such a lovely touch to each order.
The ColourPop liquid lipsticks are genuinely the best ones that I have EVER tried and they are only $6 each! How is this possible? The formula is incredible and there is absolutely no transfer everrr which makes eating and drinking a breeze.
I always get lipstick on my chin when I eat (I think I must eat funny) but never ever with these formulas. Both satin and matte have never transferred for me and they are seriously amazing I can’t give them enough praise!
The Just Peachy set with two mattes and one satin contains perfect colours for summer, as I am obsessed with peach tones at the moment. The colours are Instigator, Screenshot and Speed-dial. This set is $15 for 3 lipsticks which gives a saving of $1 on each lipstick!
Next up the Pressed Shadows. I have wanted some of these for soo long so I was so happy to finally get my hands on some. These are $5 each and fit into the very well priced $7 Magnetic Palette! This apparently sells out super quick so I was lucky to be able to order it.
The shades I got were Wait For It which is a matte hot peach, Pep Talk which is a metallic icy peach and Time Out which is a duochrome peach with a pink flip. See what I mean about being peach obsessed at the moment?
I’m not sure why but I didn’t do swatches I just forgot, soz, and I am yet to try them to see how blendable and pigmented they are but when I do I will be sure to let you know!
The palette is pure white with ColourPop name embossed in black. Inside the palette is pure black with no mirror, which probably explains the $7 price tag but this doesn’t bother me at all.
Last up was a fab bonus freebie of the Birthday Cake Super Shock Shadow. This colour is really something special – its a medium rosy copper with warm undertones and flecks of pink and copper sparkle. It’s soo pretty and a really gorgeous limited edition birthday shade so I am so happy to have been able to get this.
So onto customs – I ordered directly with the CP website when there was an offer for free shipping on orders over $35 and my order was $37. The shipping didn’t take long at all, maybe a week or so and there was a customs charge of £16.
In comparison to my previous haul here where customs was £24 on an order of $80 this is pretty steep, especially considering I split it with Rachael as we did a joint order! But I didn’t care at this point as I just wanted it! A huge part of this is the £8 handling fee the Post Office have the cheek to charge so it will always be upwards of £10.
If you have any questions about shipping to the UK please feel free to ask as I think I’ve covered everything but I may have missed it!
Have you tried anything from ColourPop? What’s your favourite? I’d love to know in the comments below!
