Autumn Nails | Barry M Molten Metals in Copper Mine

Just another Mani Monday! Happy Monday lovelies, the week has begun again and the countdown to the weekend is once again on!

This Mani Monday I have swatches and a review of the gorgeous Barry M Molten Metals in Copper Mine. Barry M know how to do seasons and this is no exception. It’s a gorgeous copper with sparkly silver undertones that make it so perfect for Autumn.

PACKAGING

The Molten Metals range sets itself apart from the usual Barry M bottles with a textured bronze lid and a funky font to plaster the name of the collection across the bottle.

COLOUR

In the bottle, the colour looks like copper glitter, but on application silver sparkles show through which I did not expect at all, but it was a welcome surprise as it is very pretty on. Unfortunately this doesn’t show very well on the photos.

APPLICATION

Application is super easy as the brush covers most of the nail and allows neat finishing at the cuticles.

Drying time is quite quick with 2 coats which is a great if you need a quick mani.

FINISH

The finish is a very shiny sparkle rather than glitter and is smooth to touch which I wasn’t expecting but it makes it so much easier to work with and you still get the sparkle without the hassle!

LASTING POWER

If you’ve been reading my nail posts for a while now you will know I have a hate hate relationship with nail varnishes in that they hate my nails and just do not stay on no matter what the brand or the finish.

So I was pleasantly surprised that these lasted a whole day and only chipped a tiny bit and I kept it on a total of 3 days before it needed to come off. The chips were only at the tips and weren’t that noticeable due to the colour and finish of the polish so I could get away with it for a couple of days.

REMOVAL

As it isn’t a glitter finish it removes easily enough with nail varnish remover, albeit it is a bit tougher than most plain colours.

OVERALL

I love that this polish provides  a quick autumn sparkle that is subtle enough when it begins to chip which is a big bonus for me. I’ve reached for it a couple of times now so that definitely shows its a good one!

This is £3.99 and there are 4 other colours in the range. Get it from Boots here (with a free limited edition palette when you spend £7.50 at the mo) and Superdrug here (on 3 for 2 atm).
