I was so excited to see Clinique lipsticks on the front of Glamour this month because 1. I have a *bit* of a lipstick obsession (OK a huge one) and 2. It’s £2 for the magazine and the lipstick!!
I might have bought both colours because let’s face it at £2 each it would be rude not too! They’re tiny samples but great for the price and perfect for popping in your handbag!
The packaging is lovely I love the gold lid and the square shape. The red colour is called Cherry Pop and the nude is appropriately named Nude Pop.
Cherry is swatched on the left the Nude is on the right. The Nude Pop has a sheer effect and is quite moisturising on the lips they don’t dry out. The Cherry Pop is more matte than the nude but still has a sheer effect.
Neither have amazing staying power due to their sheer nature so you need to reapply regularly.
Nude Pop is quite a peachy nude despite the packaging looking a bit pinky but it’s a lovely colour and looks very subtle but effective when applied.
Cherry Pop is a gorgeous colour I would say it’s more raspberry than cherry but it’s lovely!
Sorry for the difference in lighting – I wore the nude one to work so took the photo this morning and tried cherry pop at home in the evening!
I managed to get the last lipstick at all when I bought the Nude Pop in the shop when I first looked and got the last Cherry Pop in Tesco when I looked again!
