The LUSH Christmas range is usually very festive themed and you can associate every single scent or design with something Christmassy.
The Never Mind the Ballistics Bath Bomb however, is different and it surprised me that a pink and yellow coloured product found its way into the festive collection.
But it smells amazing and it’s super pretty so I had to give it a go!
I purchased this from the LUSH store in Nottingham and after being shown around the entire collection, I chose this colourful number.
The guy in the shop explained that this pastel choice is a nod to Christmas on the other side of the world in Australia where they spend the 25th on the beach in the bright yellow sunshine!
So my mystery as to why this bomb is such a deviation from the usual festive collection has been solved and I absolutely love the idea behind this.
This isn’t just your average bath bomb as half of it has a pink bath melt coating which means you can reap the benefits of the moisturising oil whilst enjoying the fun of the bath bomb.
It’s your usual round bomb size and fizzes just like you would expect from LUSH bombs. It isn’t a loud fizzer and doesn’t take too long until it’s fully dissolved. It starts off producing a yellow bath and then the melt begins to dissolve and pink streams fly off around the water.
The scent this bomb gives off is lime and sweet wild orange oils which are fresh and fruity, so different from your usual Christmassy scents! It also contains fair trade cocoa butter and fresh bananas which soften both the water and the skin.
Despite the heaviness of this due to the added melt, it remains fizzing on the surface. The bath finishes by leaving the water a gorgeous sunset orange after the yellow and pink combine.
I love that it represents the festive season enjoyed on the other side of the world!
You can pick this up before the Christmas collection disappears for £4.25 which is a good price considering the added bonus of the melt.
