Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Blush Palette review and swatches

Makeup Revolution are a makeup brand with purse friendly yet quality products. The Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Blush Palette is a beautiful palette with six matte and two shimmer blushes. The blushers I’ve tried from the brand so far I’ve been really impressed with so I was really excited to try their blush palettes. Who doesn’t love a good palette? Let’s face it, we all do!

Packaging

The packaging is made with simplistic black pans which makes it look so modern and the blushers provide such amazing pops of colour against the black. You get six matte blushers and two baked ones, in a variety of colours ranging from pinks to oranges to nudes, although they don’t have names of the shades.

Swatches of the Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Blush Palette

This is the top line with the nude brown, nude with more orange tones,  a deep pink and a very light pink highlight colour.

This is the bottom row with a rose pink, a bright pink, an orange and a baked soft pink.

Performance

So performance wise these are not too pigmented when you use a big fluffy brush such as the Real Techniques Blusher Brush, but if you use a more dense concentrated one such as the Spectrum C03 Tulip Powder Brush you can get far with a little powder. The formula can be manipulated for whatever finish you choose and I think all of the shades can suit different skin tones depending on how you apply it.

Tip for you all – do not use the baby pink baked blush as a highlighter it does not look good (I learned that the hard way!) but it would  be fab as an all over blush for a summer night out or as a topper to the matte pink.

Buy the Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Blush Palette

This costs £6 and you can buy it here*. Overall that’s less than £1 each per blush!

Overall

I love that this palette has so much choice for different colours and finishes and there is something for every skin tone. It would be a great option to take away with you because you can choose your blush depending on your mood/outfit.
