When Too Faced release new products, they go hard or go home and the Peaches and Cream range did not disappoint. I saw the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation in Kathleen Lights video back in October and knew I had to get my hands on it whilst I was in the US so I purchased it from Sephora.
It is now available in the UK from the Too Faced site and I believe the new shop in London so we can all get our hands on it now! The whole range is based on the premise of “matte like you’ve never seen before” and each product is infused with peach essence and sweet fig cream to hydrate the skin.
Packaging
The packaging is a gorgeous baby pink and medium pink ombre effect soft squeeze bottle with every bloggers favourite font in gold foil. You expect the dispenser to be a squeezy one, but I was surprised to see it has a mirrored gold pump underneath the mirror gold cap.
Formula
The formula is oil-free, oil controlling, photo friendly and has an apparent 14 hour wear time. The premise behind the matte finish of the Peaches and Cream collection is that the comfortable to wear matte has a soft focus velvet-like finish that gives a peachy glow. It’s quite a thin watery formula. It also has a literal sweet peach scent (imagine that, eh?) as it is advertised to have.
Shades
There’s a huge variety of shades of which I have Nude, which is annoyingly now too dark for me. I was tanned when I went to America and stupidly matched myself rather than my pale self which would be inevitable after a week back in the UK.
Application
After dispensing this out the pump, I’ve tried it with both a beauty blender and a brush. I think the finish is more flawless with the brush as less product is wasted so more applies to the skin as it’s quite watery.
Coverage
I would say on first go, this is medium coverage but it is very build-able to full coverage with another application.
Finish
The finish is flawless and matte and is very comfortable to wear. Ticking all the boxes with it’s claims so far!
Wear
Unfortunately I wouldn’t say this has a 14 hour wear, as after a long day it’s separated and gone weird all over everywhere and lets my shiny forehead come through in all it’s oily glory. I’d say it has a 6 hour wear. Definitely not 14. If you were going out after work it would need a touch up. That kinda wear, you know what I mean!
Price
This is £27 in the UK from Debenhams only, which is on par with the usual high end foundations.
Overall
This is a good, light, matte foundation with a nice finish. Yes it’s comfortable and matte, but it doesn’t last 14 hours. Also, I feel like the tube is small and the formula runs out fast. Would I repurchase? Probably not straight away.
Have you tried this foundation or anything else from the Sweet Peach range? I’d love to know your thoughts below!
Thanks so much for reading!
