My skin felt so bleurgh after Christmas with all the busy events and rubbish food I consumed and coupled with the dreary cold weather of January it was crying out for some TLC.
When the lovely ladies over at Sukin offered to send me some of their Super Greens skincare for a new year skin detox I couldn’t accept quicker!
They sent me some lovely products to try which harness natural plant power in the ingredients which aid to detox the skin, re-balance and add glow.
I received a moisturiser, face mask and scrub*. I quickly took my photos (obvs, bloggers life and all that) and got to work trying them out ASAP.
Sukin originated from Australia and their mantra is “skincare that doesn’t cost the earth” which is definitely something I can champion.
Lets start with the Detoxifying Facial Masque. This is a clay based mask containing kale, spirulina, parsley and cranberry to help balance and nourish the complexion. This smells so good – the mix of natural ingredients smell like marzipan and I love it. The mask is super soft and is so comfortable to wear. It doesn’t tighten or pull on the skin and your skin feels super refreshed and clean after.
Next up the Moisturiser. The ingredients include kale, spirulina and parsley, with acai and goji extracts which provide hydration and give skin a glow. It’s such a velvet soft moisturiser it feels so nourishing and it’s a pleasure to apply. The pump is so handy in the mornings and a little goes a long way, so this will definitely last ages! It’s one you can apply to the face, neck and chest.
Lastly the Facial Scrub. Micro jojoba beads and ground bamboo gently exfoliate the skin, removing dirt and impurities, whilst kale, spirulina and parsley promote a nourished complexion. It also contains added pineapple, liquorice and lime peel. Another one that smells amazing! It’s designed for regular use, but I would probably only use this once a week. The beads aren’t as soft as I would have liked from such a kind and natural scrub, so if you have sensitive skin I’d give this a miss.
My skin has felt so much healthier since using this range, and they’re really affordable too. You can buy this brand at Holland and Barrett here. The moisturiser and scrub are £9.99 each and the masque is £11.49 – for such kind to the earth and natural products, these are such affordable prices.
Have you tried any of these products from Sukin? Are you wanting to give these a go? I’d love to know in the comments below!
