September is here which means that summer is over and autumn is creeping its way back into our lives bringing dark nights and chills along with it.
I have to say I love Summer, which seems to be an unpopular opinion amongst social media as most posts I’ve seen are every one and their dog getting ready for pumpkin spice lattes and jumpers.
As much as I love a good knitwear piece and changing up the makeup routine to welcome berry tones, the light nights and long warm days means Summer is definitely my favourite season.
So I thought I’d do a round up of the makeup products I’ve been loving throughout the sunny season and have seen me through the summer months.
Starting at the top (of the face) these 2 eye shadow palettes have been my go to throughout the whole summer.
The Collection Nude Rose Palette has been perfect for the peach and orange shades as well as the pastel pinks and the added bonus of a highlight shade means this is a palette that can create a whole look and its size and weight means its travel friendly.
The Morphe 12s Souls of Summer palette has some dreamy colours in but the bottom row has been my go to for the gorgeous orange and copper tones. I mean just behold the prettiness..
For the face the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation has been my go to as it gives a great coverage whilst still being lightweight and has a huge SPF in it – perfect!
The rest of my face has been graced with this fabulous bronzer from W7 – Hollywood Bronze and Glow. The bronzer has shimmer particles that go on so subtly and provide amazing bronzing for the cheeks.
The Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Fireball has been a dream to use this summer as the peachy pink tones coupled with the amazing highlighting particles gives amazing colour and highlight to the face which are perfect for summer. And not to mention the insta-worthy packaging!
Last but not least my go to lip colour, and I mean I used this A LOT. The Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour in Flirt is a gorgeous peachy orange toned matte liquid lipstick that is so pigmented and lasts ages and is so comfortable to wear so it’s no surprise I reached for it a lot!
So that’s my summer makeup menu! As much as I will miss summer and peachy orange tones, I am looking forward to a seasonal switch up and I’m getting ready to welcome berry tones and nudes for autumn!
