If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll know my love obsession with ColourPop. Their affordable yet amazing quality products that are so on point and keep me wanting more every time.
This is despite the fact they’re only online in the US and the customs charges to the UK (or even the Bahamas where I am now) are extortionate compared to the price you pay for the makeup.
The hype around their new releases is too much for me to resist and every time I see myself placing an order.
The Yes Please palette was so incredibly sought after it went out of stock in 10 minutes every time it came back into stock.
I missed it in the first batch, but luckily got one in the second and I was so excited to get it in the post when I knew I had made the order ok.
It’s now back in stock this morning so if you aren’t convinced, read my review and then go go go!
PACKAGING
First up, the packaging is white cardboard square box with a flip up lid which is a smudge disaster waiting to happen!
The lid has CUTE AF written across it in bright white 3D lettering outlined in bright yellow (not sure why, given that the palette is called Yes Please!).
The palette is housed in a neon yellow box with YES PLEASE in red inside a speech bubble. Very eye catching packaging!
SHADES
It contains a mixture of warm toned oranges, reds and bronze as well as browns, pinks and yellows all shared between matte and shimmer shades. Each shade has a name which corresponds with the circles on the back of the palette.

Champs: matte pale peachy nude
Bling: metallic rust
Louie: metallic duochrome red with a gold flip
Butter Cake: metallic pale yellow gold
Spoiled: matte brick red
Gno: matte burnt orange
Mischief: matte warm yellow
Note to Self: matte warm caramel
Chauffeur: metallic duochrome bright orange with a gold flip
French Kiss: matte deep red brown
APPLICATION
As with most ColourPop products, the shades blend beautifully. The mattes aren’t chalky and pack a punch colour wise, although need a couple of swipes for good pay off. The shimmers are buttery with intense pigment. All shades blend well on the eyes and any intense colours can be blended out with a clean brush.
WEAR
Even a sweaty evening can’t stop these shades staying put. At the end of the night the shades are still as vibrant as when you applied them. I need not say anymore.
So far I’ve stuck with the reds, browns and bronze but I’m dying to try the orange and the yellow but I’m not too sure I’m a yellow shadow gal!
PRICE
The palette costs $16 for 12 shades each at 0.85g (0.03oz). That’s $1.30 per shade. The usual ColourPop single shadows are 1.5g (0.053oz) and $4 each so you’re getting a good deal per shadow in the palette.
If you live in the UK, you will get customs fees on any order over £15 and any order under $50 attracts a delivery fee from CP. So either way whether you get the customs charge or delivery fee you’re paying either way. UK customs charges differ between £16-26 which includes a mandatory £8 handling fee.
OVERALL
ColourPop drag me in every time so call me bias, it’s always worth the customs fees in my opinion. They smashed it out the park with this palette and I don’t regret it one bit.
