Obviously my page is about beauty on an everyday budget and ordinarily I wouldn’t purchase this myself but I got this for my birthday as a present off one of my best friends as I have to admit I’ve been lusting after this for so long!
I’ve found some good dupes for the Naked palettes, but the packaging on the Urban Decay palettes is second to none and it’s just so pretty!
So I was very excited when I unwrapped this on my birthday! I know I’m a bit late to the party but here’s what I thought –
Like I said the packaging is so sturdy and good quality and super gorgeous and you are greeted by a mirror along the inside of the lid when you open it. It didn’t come with a brush though which I was a little miffed about.
There are 6 matte shadows – Skimp, Stark, Frisk, Cover, Primal and Undone which are good for a subtle daytime look.
However I have to say I didn’t think they were very pigmented! I thought the mattes in the w7 in the buff palette were more pigmented.
They do take a couple of layers to go on so that you can see it. I used Stark as base and added Frisk on top for extra colour. I used Cover in my crease and Primal on the outer corners and along the base of my bottom lash line to about the middle.
They blend well though and last a fairly long time although not as long as I thought – I wore it both days on a weekend away in London which really tested it’s saying power and there was some creasing by the end of the day.
I was a tad disappointed in this but I will always have a soft spot for the UD palettes! So all in all I am happy with this little baby.
Has anyone else tried this? What do you think? Do you have any tips or tricks on how best to apply it? Let me know in the comments I’d love to know!
Thank you so much for reading!
