I first heard of Peggy Porschen when I saw a dreamy pink building on Instagram and wondered where on earth it was. After a little more investigation I discovered it was a gem called Peggy Porschen Cakes and I immediately knew I had to set eyes upon it myself.
I was in London the other weekend and it was my mission to make sure we got to visit. I dragged my friends along to find it, who had never heard of it before either, and we were soon all swooning at it’s beautiful presence.
If you love cakes, flowers, pastel colours and all things pink then you need to go and visit this place yourself!
Peggy Porschen cakes is honestly the dreamiest and most beautiful cake shop I have ever set my eyes on. We saw the pink pastel walls a mile off down the street and got increasingly more excited the closer we stepped towards it.
The outside is adorned with beautiful pink and purple artificial flowers with the sweetest pastel signs hung amongst them bearing cute cake related quotes. The exterior is made complete with a pink bike holding flowers in its wicker basket. It could not look any cuter with flowers in the window display to complete the look.
Of course people were queueing up to get photos outside the building, but not too much that you felt pressured or unable to take some yourself. There were probably 1 or 2 groups at a time so it was quite chilled.
There are around six tables outside and we were lucky that we managed to get the one next to the door and the flowers just as someone left. There are a further four or so tables inside yet the place wasn’t busy and nobody had trouble finding somewhere to sit.
Inside, the walls are painted white with crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and rows of sweetie bags along the walls.
The display of cakes is mouth watering and the decision as to what to pick is so difficult! There were cupcakes galore, huge triple layer cakes, biscuits and brownies to choose from.
For me it had to be a cupcake and I chose the strawberry champagne cupcake with pink icing and a strawberry carefully positioned on top.
My friends each chose the Victoria sponge cake with pink swirly icing and a slice of raspberry lemon cake with perfectly smooth pink icing.
We sampled each others and each cake tasted so delicious – light and fluffy with beautifully flavoured and perfectly decorated icing.
To compliment your cake there is an abundance of hot drinks to choose from. My friend and I each had a vanilla latte and the other had a tea. The cups are all pink and sit upon pastel coloured plates and the tea pots are pink as well.
The whole bill came to £26 for three of us which I personally think is reasonable for London and such a beautifully decorated cake shop. In my eyes you are paying for the privilege of the experience as well. Even the receipt comes out pink!
We were literally in pink heaven and we could not stop exclaiming how pretty and cute everything was the whole time we were there.
My friends laughed when I said I wanted them to take candid photos of me outside the shop but even they were asking me to take photos of them sipping from their pink cups and both loved the result! (of course because they had a great photographer 😉 !)
You can also buy little books with their recipes in and they cater for events too, but for me it’s being in the breath-taking shop that makes the experience.
If you ever visit London or live there already you must go to Peggy Porschen and experience it for yourself because it is truly spectacular and I never thought I would sat that about a cake shop!

This place is absolute Instagram gold!
£26 seems expensive but its for a treat rather than an everyday thing so I’d happily pay that. The pink Victoria sponge is calling my name!
