So this month it’s Birchbox’s birthday and it’s also my birthday too so yay for September birthdays! So I was even more excited to receive the Birchday box!
I love that everyone could choose which of the two designs you wanted and I love this bunting and candle style design its so pretty!
As usual there are some gems in this box and not so good things but the majority of it will be used so that’s good!
Body
Bliss Lemon and sage body butter
I do love a body butter but they’re not a luxury to me so I would have liked to have gotten something else in place of this.
But it is nice and soft and smells lush so it will be used! It will most likely go in my travel bag due to its little size. A full size one is £22 so I won’t be repurchasing this.
Beauty Protector Beauty Wash
This does smell delicious (it smells like vanilla cupcakes) but again this isn’t a luxury for me and will probably just go in my travel bag. I’m more of a makeup girl and would prefer more makeup products!
Hair
John Masters Organics Citrus Neroli Detangler
My hair gets so knotty when it’s wet so I was excited to try this. It smells lush so that’s a bonus! You either wash it out leave it in so I left it in. It did help my hair but no more than my Loreal kids Detangler did and that’s £3 ish a bottle! This one is £16 for a full one so I won’t be repurchasing but I am enjoying it whilst it lasts! I’ll probably pop this in my travel bag and use it when I go on holiday!
Birchbox’s the Birchbrush
This is the Birchbox’s version of the tangle teaser. It’s a bit smaller than the tangle teaser and I’m sorry to say nowhere near as good! It can’t replace the tangle teaser for me but I might pop it in my handbag for windy days as its a great handbag size.
Makeup
Laqa & co Cheeky Lip Pencil in Humble Brag
This is a pretty pink but it isn’t very autumn friendly to say it’s a September box. But that being said it comes out a lot darker than the colour of the packaging and is quite pigmented for a lip crayon, it packs a lot of punch! I’ve never heard of this brand so I was excited to try it but at £17 for a full size one I won’t be repurchasing!
Here’s a swatch of it on my hand-
Benefit the POREfessional: licence to blot
Last but not least this is what I was most excited about! I love benefit but can’t afford it so when I get samples like this it makes me happy! I love the packaging its super cute! I suffer from oily skin and usually use blotting papers as you know from a previous post so I am excited to try this! But unfortunately £15 is too expensive compared to the £3ish of the blotting papers so I think I’ll stick with those once that finishes!
Did anyone get anything different? Let me know what you thought in the comments!
Thank you so much for reading!
