I know as well as anyone the struggles of keeping your hair in tip top condition when using heat to style it.
Whether that be to straighten or curl, you must protect your hair from the high temperatures you’re applying as otherwise the hair can get pretty damaged if you don’t.
Luckily Lee Stafford know this too and their Coco Loco range, which is packed full of coconut ingredients, helps to nourish damaged hair.
They have added to their already extensive range a Heat Protection Mist* and I was kindly sent it to give it a test.
BENEFITS
The Coco Loco range contains conditioning coconut oil which helps to nourish and repair damaged hair and it also leaves out any alcohol which means the hair is stronger and healthier. The spray protects up to 220 degrees as well.
PACKAGING
The Heat Protection Mist is in a handy spray bottle that fits nicely into your hand. The nozzle sprays a fine mist over a generous area of the hair. This is much better than some sprays that squirt out onto a small bit of hair.
The packaging is every girly girls dream – light pink with fuscia lettering in the trademark Lee Stafford style of randomised capitals.
SCENT
The scent of this mist is to die for – it smells of coconuts and ohmydays it is A-MA-ZING!! It reminds me of holidays – sun cream and pina coladas on the beach, can it get any better than that?
It’s seriously gorgeous and makes it a pleasure to use. The scent is definitely the aspect that sets it apart from other heat protection sprays I’ve tried.
APPLICATION
The bottle recommends you use this both on wet hair when blowdrying and on dry hair when using heat stylers.
The spray is a little wet when you apply so when spraying on dry hair either spray in advance of styling and wait a few minutes for it to settle or blast it with the hairdryer for ten seconds and you’re good to go.
It’s important you don’t apply heat stylers whilst the hair is wet as that’s when you get the hideous sizzling sound we all dread!
RESULTS
I have found my hair has stayed in good condition since using this heat protection mist and there hasn’t been any visible heat related damage, especially to the front of my hair or the ends where it usually suffers.
BUY IT
The bottle comes in 150ml size and it retails for £5.99 which is extremely affordable for such a good quality and beautifully scented product.
Look out for it on offer at Boots, where it is sold exclusively, as it is often included in a 3 for 2 or a two for £10. Get it here.*
Lee Stafford is classed as Professional Haircare in Boots so this is very well priced given its reputation.
OVERALL
I’m really enjoying using this product, especially the scent, have I mentioned that already?! It’s very good quality for the price tag and one that I would happily repurchase.
Thank you so much to Lee Stafford for sending me this to try!
