Kiehl’s is a skincare brand that has been making quality products since 1851. They are more on the higher end scale in terms of price but the quality is extremely superior so I was very excited when I was invited to the opening of their new stand in Debenhams in Leicester Highcross Shopping centre!
The event took place at the Kiehl’s on Wheels van which drives all around the country holding events before being shown around the brand new stand in Debenhams.
The Kiehls on Wheels van is the coolest thing ever I so wish it was my mode of transport!! It opens up to reveal a huge array of products on display surrounding a marble work top and sink for consultations.
The van displays the history of Kiehl’s and various stats of their best selling products and the customer favourites. Their ranges are vast and include everything from head to toe for women, men and babies!
When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Hannah who runs the Kiehl’s on Wheels van and Saff who manages the Nottingham store. We were handed jugs of cocktails from Turtle Bay and given a brief history of Keihl’s from when it began in a New York apothecary in 1851.
We were taken through some of the best selling products Keihl’s have to offer starting from cleansing, serums, eye creams, moisturisers, oils and sunscreen to face masks and primers.
All of the products were passed around for us to try after being told all of the ingredients, what they do and how the product works on your skin. Kiehl’s have a product for every skin type and every skin dilemma.
I learnt so many new skin care tips from this session, including the fact that there are two types of acne: one which is caused by bacteria on the skin and these are the white heads that want popping and the other is the red lumps under your skin which are caused by lack of hydration.
The Cactus Flower and Tibetan Ginseng Hydrating Mist pictured above is a great way to keep your face feeling hydrated and fresh throughout the day and it smells lovely!
I also discovered that dry oils are the best type of oil to use in the day if you suffer from oily skin as it helps keep skin hydrated whilst combating any excess oil. Their Daily Reviving Concentrate pictured below is the best one to use for this.
The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is one of their best selling products and one is sold every ten seconds around the world!
All of the products that were passed round for us to try, I sampled on my left hand and it was honestly left feeling and looking so much smoother and younger than my right! All of the products felt so lovely and the difference to my skin was incredible.
After a walk round the van for some photos and a group selfie we wandered over to check out the new section in Debenhams (which is next to MAC for those of you that live in Leicester or plan to check it out!).
I was so impressed with the huge space they had in Debenhams and it was designed so well – the decor is bright and eye catching and looks so modern and inviting.
We had a browse around all the products they had on offer and chatted to the consultant working on the concession.
I love how the packaging still has the “apothecary” feel to it! The Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream is their newest product with ingredients that are 99% natural (the 1% is due to the fact that one ingredient is not processed natural despite being a natural ingredient in itself.)
We were also kindly given a goodie bag housed in a gorgeous brown box with a beautifully tied luxe Keihl’s ribbon. It donned a hand written gift tag which I thought was a lovely touch.
Inside we were given three generous sample sizes and an array of sachet samples to try including one for men which Jay was happy about!
The larger samples included the Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner and the Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Facial Wash.
If you live in or around Leicester and fancy checking out their shiny new concession in Debenhams they are now at the Highcross centre!
Thank you to the lovely Hannah and Saff for hosting such a lovely and informative event.

What a neat experience. I think my absolute favorite item from Kiehl’s to date is the Creme de Corps body cream. I’ve already repurchased it twice. 🙂

What a neat concept to have a mobile Kiehl’s shop! I started out using Kiehl’s hair products and eventually tried their skincare. I’ve grown to love some items including their Midnight Recovery eye cream and the Ultra Facial Cream. The Amino Acid shampoo is one of my guilty pleasures. I bought a 2 litre bottle of it a while ago and have been working my way through it – I’m honestly addicted to that scent!

What a lovely event this was! I’m looking forward to testing out some old favourites again, and trying some of the newer bits I haven’t tried. I’m going to have to go back through my empties and check whether I loved or hated that shampoo though, I know I loved one of the ones I had previously and hated one, I can’t remember which way round it was!
