Ahh the LUSH Sales. Goes without saying that many purchases will be made s it’s the chance to get christmassy goodness for half the price. The question is more what I can resist rather than what I will get.
In my haste to get a good bargain, I picked up Christingle Body Conditioner, a bright blue body conditioner that you apply in the shower to wet skin then rinse off. Much like the in-shower moisturisers that became a big hit over the last couple of years.
It smells like Peppermint and it really does leave your skin feeling cold and tingly when you get out the shower! I have mixed feelings about this product and here’s why –
First of all the price – full price it would have been £16 which is outrageous as I was already dubious about the £8 I paid at 50% off!
The Nivea in shower moisturisers are around £3-4 and they are about the same size if not bigger than this so much better value for money. On the other hand, these products aren’t natural like Lush so this adds to the argument!
Secondly the tub isn’t the best packaging I could think of for such a product – it’s messy as you just have to grab handfuls of it and it goes everywhere!
However it is a pot you can return for a fresh face mask with 4 others so silver linings and all that.
Next it’s super slippy so do not put it on your feet you will fall over I very nearly did!! It also leaves your skin feeling a bit tacky whereas others I’ve tried haven’t done this.
I’m also not sure how I feel about being cold when I get out the shower especially in the winter – I want to be warm!
Although it does wake you up at least so I can’t complain about that in the mornings when I’m getting ready for work!
I do love the scent of this I am yet to find one that smells this good!
All in all it is a good product but the price is just far too extortionate considering what it is even if it is made of natural products.
I would only buy this in the sale if I was going to get one I think.
Have you tried this or any other body conditioner? What did you think to it? Let me know below!
