My Julienne Brow Products Review

A makeup look is never complete without brows, am I right? Even on a no makeup day I like to do at least something to my brows, so I was excited to try the new brow products from My Julienne. My Julienne are a new brand that are cruelty free and believe that life is simply too short for bad brows and I totally agree! I was sent to review the Brow Cushion and the Retractable Brow Pencil.

My Julienne Brow Cushion

The Brow cushion is a two-tone cushion which uses pigments to create a customised colour perfect for your brows. The mirrored compact includes a spoolie brush for pre and post-colour grooming, and a thin angled brush, for hair-like strokes to your preferred intensity. The formula is quick-drying, smudge-proof and water-resistant.

The cushion allows a decent amount of product onto the brush and when applied, I found this gives a subtler more blurred affect to the brows. It didn’t give “hair-like strokes” as described, but it filled in the brows neatly and was fine when topped with a brow gel. This probably isn’t for you if you prefer a more sculpted and precise brow but opt for a more blurred filled in look. This costs £9.99 and you can get it here.

My Julienne Retractable Brow Pencil

This is a double ended product, with a spoolie on one end for grooming and a prism-shaped pencil tip on the other end for shaping, lining and filling your brows. You can feather, taper, arch or curve with the brow pencil and you can apply light or heavier pressure to get the desired look.

I found this applies really well and you can really tailor it to your preference. The precise tip means you can create sharp lines and fill in the larger parts with the fatter end. I really like the way this makes my brows look and it lasts all day. Even if I have to top up at the end of the day I just need to use a brow gel as the pencil stays put! This is a bargain £6.99 which is a great price for the level of quality you get, which I think is on par with my favourite Benefit Goof Proof! You can get it here.

My Julienne are a lovely new brand and I think their brow products are quality and really well priced. I would recommend!
