Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde Haircare System

My hair is one of the most important aspects to my look and if my hair looks rubbish I feel rubbish! Being a fake blonde with thick hard to manage frizzy hair, my hair goes through a lot so I am always on the look out for products to help make my life easier and my hair healthier.

So you can imagine I was over the moon when the kind people at Paul Mitchell sent me the Forever Blonde Hair System* to try. It promises to protect the colour of your hair whilst repairing the condition and improving the elasticity of your strands and sealing the cuticle using KerActive protein.

I was so excited to try this out in the hope it would do great things for my hair which is in great need of some TLC.

The package I received came wrapped in this lovely Paul Mitchell branded tissue paper with a lovely note from Mickaela over at PM who was so kind in arranging for my package to be sent and it arrived so quickly, like the next day!

I was sent the Shampoo, Conditioner and  Dramatic Repair cream. I’ve had a chance to try them out so let me talk you through what I thought!

This collection comes in gorgeous shiny silver packaging with black branded writing (which made it awfully difficult to photograph because everything reflected onto it!).

The shampoo is in a bottle with a pop up lid, the conditioner a tube with a pull down lid and the cream is a bottle with a pump lid.

You can immediately tell with these products they are of salon quality as the formula is rich and luxurious.

It has a gorgeous scent that I find is a pleasant semi sweet salon-esque smell.

The shampoo is applied first on wet hair followed by the conditioner which it suggests to comb through and rinse off but I left it on for 5-10 mins whilst I washed and shaved etc. and then rinsed. The cream is applied on damp hair and styled as usual. I did use other products on top as this is more of a damage repair cream than a styling cream.

So I loved the way this made my hair feel! I was able to blow dry it a lot straighter and smoother than usual before straightening which is a result for me and it straightened even smoother than usual! My hair feels stronger and smoother, which is a definite result for me.

I am a firm believer that when it comes to hair products, you get what you pay for and you can really tell the difference between expensive and cheaper hair care. If I’m going to splurge on anything it will be hair care. These products are average about £16 each which is expensive but as a weekly/two weekly treat I would say these are so worth it. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t spend this on everyday hair care but I will definitely use this once a week to keep my hair in good condition.

You can get these at Look Fantastic and Feel Unique.

These products sound absolutely divine! And yes, metallic packaging is the curse of beauty bloggers. 😆
