Christmas is here and the run up to the big day means party after party after lunch followed by drinks which all call for festive makeup looks.
The lovely people at SEVENTEEN sent me some lovely products to try so I thought I would use them to create a Christmas look that I think will be perfect for day time lunches, evening meals or Christmas day itself.
I used the products to create golden eyes and red ombre lips which are perfect for the festive season.
To create this look I used the Easy on the Eye Palette, All Out Pout Lip Palette, Skin Wow Concealer and Long Lash Mascara*. The Lets Face It Palette* is also featured here but I didn’t use it for my look. I also used the Define and Conquer Palette for my contour that isn’t pictured but I reviewed it here.
To start off I put on a long lasting foundation and used the Skin Wow Concealer which is amazing! It’s super creamy and brightening it really hides dark circles and highlights the face down the nose and between the eyebrows.
Next up – eyes! The Easy on the Eyes Palette has such beautiful nude and gold shades that are great for day time or more subtle shimmer looks. It includes 3 cream shades, 2 matte, 6 shimmer and 1 eye primer.
To start I used the primer at number 1 with my finger, followed by the cream nude at number 2. I used the gold at number 3 for the whole lid, followed by packing number 4 into the middle of the lid. Going back to number 3 I darkened the gold in each corner and added some to my inner corners.
I added some mascara using the Long Lash Mascara which is such a fab one to use I have been in love with it since I started using it. The wand looks clumpy but it does not translate to the lashes at all. As well as lengthening it adds so much volume I only need to use this one to create my desired lashes.
Last up I used the All Out Pout Palette to create a fab red ombre lip. I started with number 1 all over using the little lip brush provided which is perfectly soft and angled. I added number 2 to the middle of the bottom lip and topped it off with the golden glitter at number 3.
This palette is the perfect way to introduce subtle glitter to your lips which is great for the festive season and perfect if you don’t want to go all out glitter which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!
And the finished look:

I love the effect of the added glitter it really makes it festive.
