Keratase is a brand that I associate as a salon quality high end range, and I trust that their hair care will be good. Silicone free hair care has become more prominent in the hair world lately, as the presence of them in your shampoo can cause long term damage to the hair. The natural ingredients in the Kerastase Aura Botanica range* thoroughly cleanse the hair, improve the condition and leave it with a healthy glow.

The Aura Botanica range uses natural ingredients to replace sulphates and silicone’s and is coloured by caramel to create a luxurious formula. When silicone’s are used in hair care, they are there to give a shine to the hair which masks the hair’s natural condition.
It can build up and prevent any moisture getting to the hair and in an attempt to get rid of the build up, the products used contain sulphates which can cause the hair to become damaged and brittle. Using sulphate and silicone free hair care prevents the viscous cycle of build up and removal and the damage caused by doing so.
Kerastase Aura Botanica Concentrate Essential Aromatic Nourishing Oil Blend
Start off with the Concentrate Essential Aromatic Nourishing Oil Blend which is a pre-shampoo treatment (I unfortunately found this out the hard way, when I had to re-wash my hair as using it as an oil post-shampoo was not a good idea, always read the label kids!). It uses Samoan coconut oil, Moroccan argan oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, sweet orange oil and rosemary extract to tame frizz, boost conditioning on damaged hair and smooth and soften the skin. It can always be used as a massage oil for the hands. Added bonus!
Kerastase Aura Botanica Bain Micellaire Gentle Aromatic Shampoo
The Bain Micellaire Gentle Aromatic Shampoo utilises its natural ingredients to cleanse away impurities and prepares the hair fibre for optimal conditioner performance which helps to give a healthy glow to the hair.
Kerastase Aura Botanica Soin Fondamental Intense Moisturising Conditioner
The Soin Fondamental Intense Moisturising Conditioner uses Coconut & Argan oils and infuses hair with deep conditioning and helps detangle the hair and improve hair quality. The result is that the hair is conditioned, stronger and shinier. The weightless formula smoothes and controls frizz without coating the hair and leaves it with a healthy glow. Get it here*.
Kerastase Aura Botanica Essence D’Eclat Moisturising Bi-Phase Oil Mist
To finish off and style the hair, the Essence D’Eclat Moisturising Bi-Phase Oil Mist is spritzed onto the hair before blow drying. It’s a leave in treatment that only needs to be used sparingly for a conditioned, frizz free healthy glow. This is in a sturdy glass bottle that looks and feels like a really luxurious product.
The entire range has a natural, aromatic fragrance and quality packaging that feels salon quality. The caramel coloured liquid looks like you’re using a pretty potion and is a pleasure to use on the hair.
Buy the Kerastase Aura Botanica hair care range
I would recommend this range to anyone looking for silicone and sulphate free hair care and a natural long term solution to healthy hair. Shop the Aura Botanica range here*.

I’m not sure I use silicone-free shampoo. I don’t even know exactly what kind of damage it does to you hair, actually 😐

I explained it all in my post 😊

I mean my shampoo. I don’t even know if it’s a good brand or if it has harmful substances. I buy the biggest one for the cheapest price, which usually means tresemme (800 ml) 50% off lol

I actually don’t mind a silicone based shampoo, as I’d rather my hair felt and looked better than look dry! But if these do the trick and aren’t going to be drying them maybe they’re worth investigating!
The packaging looks lovely too – very luxe!
