Soap and Glory Gloss Stick Review and Swatches

I love Soap and Glory so when I saw these little cuties were out in stores I went to my largest nearest Boots as soon as I could. I find S and G can sometimes be a tad expensive so these at £3.50 each I just had to try them out and they were also on buy one get one half price so I definitely couldn’t resist!

Behold the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick which promises 3D volume and shine. It comes in 6 different colours – I bought the Nudist (top photo) and the Pink-A-Boo (such a cute name!) (bottom photo) as these were my two faves.

Most of them have a very glittery effect and these two were the least glittery looking out of all 6, plus these colours have natural nude tones and are more versatile than the rest as they will go with most looks.

The packaging is simple yet effective with the Soap and Glory logo plastered transparently around the lid which sets it apart from other lip crayons on the market on the packaging alone.

However I do have one quibble with them – look how much you get!! It’s a very small amount compared to the mass of the packaging which is already smaller than the majority of lip crayons on the market, but I guess for £3.50 you can’t really expect more product as it is also a lot cheaper than most others you can get from the higher end drug store brands.

It glides on smoothly and does have a glossy effect yet with the appearance of a lip crayon which I am impressed with. It makes your lips nice and shiny without the stickiness of a lip gloss.

The only downside is it doesn’t last very long due to the glossy effect and as it is quite a subtle finish I would say it is only suitable for a day time look.

Overall I am impressed with what Soap and Glory have achieved with these, however they could be a bit bigger and bit more long lasting as I prefer lip crayons with a bit more staying power!

Has anyone else tried these yet? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
