The cleansing oil you need for Winter | Burts Bees Cleansing Oil Review

The season changing to Autumn/Winter means cold weather which can wreak havoc on your skin if you don’t take suitable measures, which means switching up your skincare to more nourishing products.

So when the lovely team over at Burts Bees offered to send me their cleansing oil to try out I jumped at the chance!*

Burts Bees use 100% natural ingredients in their products so you know it will look after your skin with no nasty stuff in there. The cleansing oil contains coconut and argan oils so I couldn’t wait to try it out!

These natural oils combined help keep skin soft, clean, and beautifully nourished. Antioxidant rich ingredients, this facial cleanser gently removes dirt and make-up without leaving an oily residue. It is dermatologist-tested and scientifically shown to cleanse and soften skin, naturally. It is 100% natural with no parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS.

And an accurate description it is! The oil leaves your skin feeling so moisturised and soft. It picks makeup up off the  skin incredibly well and your skin is left feeling super clean and nourished. There is definitely no residue left on the skin.

The recommended use is to:

Dispense product into dry hands. Gently massage over dry face. Wet hands and gently massage product onto face. Rinse thoroughly; pat dry.

I’ve been using it on cotton pads to wipe my makeup off and you can really see the difference in the amount of makeup on the pad compared to using a micellar water.

It has a very pleasant scent that isn’t too strong and is kind to your skin.

It states its for normal to dry skin but my skin is combination due to my oily t-zone and it works a treat. In fact it is well discussed in the beauty world that using oil on oily skin actually combats it rather than hinders, so I feel this is a great product for every skin type.

One word of warning though – one pump dispenses quite a lot and it’s runnier than you think so make sure you dispense it away from your clothes and don’t stain your trousers like I did!

I love that Burt’s Bees are a company that has natural ingredients at their heart and promote doing good things for the environment. A company I can definitely get behind I love their values and knowing their products are natural and kind.

I would definitely recommend this cleanser as it is so nourishing and in these colder months your skin will thank you for it!
