Winter Skincare Shake Up | Picks from

Winter is definitely a season where skincare routines undergo a drastic shake up as the weather changes and gets a hella lot colder.

The cold weather leaves skin feeling dry and sore and in need of some serious TLC, so it’s  really important that you adapt your go to products and shake up your usual routine to give your skin what it needs.

It calls for heaps of hydration and thick moisturiser even for the oiliest of skins and I wanted to share my top picks with you from*.

All Beauty has high end and luxury products for a discounted price compared to the RRP and they have some great picks for winter skincare.

First up, I’ve been using La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo on my acne scars and uneven skin. Changing up your usual routine can reek havoc with acne prone skin and this undoes some damage done by evening the skin and unclogging any pores. It reduces the appearance of imperfections and red and brown marks. The cream is lightweight and comfortable and means you won’t be adding to the heaviness of other creams.

Next is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum which can be used on its own or under a moisturiser, but I would suggest that for winter you use it as well as a moisturiser for that extra added hydration. It’s a beautiful velvet textured serum that feels so light yet really hydrating on the skin. It’s designed to calm dehydrated and sensitive skin and restore it back to comfort. The serum is hypoallergenic and doesn’t contain parabens either.

If you have super dry and and irritable skin, this one is for you. The La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra has been specifically designed for super dry and sensitive skin to relieve any irritation and even reduced inflammation and redness. The formula doesn’t have any additives or chemicals that can contribution to further irritating the skin. It’s also free from parabens, fragrance, alcohol and fragrance. A sure fire way to beat the winter dryness!

Another deep moisturiser which also doubles as a mask is the Lierac Hydragenist Extreme Nourishing Rescue Balm. This can be applied both morning and night and you can use it as an intense treatment or a mask for a much needed hydration boost.

The complex mix of ingredients also has re-plumping properties and the skin feels plumped and hydrated from the first use. It has a lovely thick texture that you would want from a winter skin cream and it’s lovely to use.
