Hi lovelies, Autumn is officially in full swing and following the Drugstore Edition of my Autumn lip picks, I bring you the High End Edition.
I don’t own many high end lipsticks, not in comparison to my drugstore collection anyway, but the few I do tend to be more on the autumn/winter scale as I just love the berry tones of this time of year.
So let me show you which high end lippys I’ll be reaching for this season.
From top to bottom and left to right – Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in Nude, MAC Satin Lipstick in Amorous, Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Glastonberry and NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick in Scarlet Empress.
Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in Nude
A gorgeous satin brown with a nice shine to it, not your traditional autumn berry, but it definitely fits in to the autumn season.
MAC Satin Lipstick in Amorous
This is a gorgeous browny red that is described as “lovestruck cranberry” on the MAC website which definitely a colour fit for autumn. MAC Satin lipsticks are so comfortable to wear and have I would say a semi-matte finish.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Glastonberry
The star of the show – it wouldn’t be an Autumn lip edit without CT’s Glastonberry! As with NYX Copenhagen in my Drugstore edit, I feel that this will make it’s way into every Autumn lip menu in the blogosphere, but it truly deserves its place and this is a true berry tone and its just.so.pretty. A highly pigmented matte berry toned purple that is super comfortable to wear. I don’t even need to mention the dreamy packaging do I?!
NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick in Scarlet Empress
Another gorgeous berry red in NARS form with a semi-matte satin finish that has a bit of a shine to it. Another well pigmented comfortable wear.
Sorry for the messy swatches, it got hard to apply neatly after doing it so many times!

Oh, I love the Bobbi Brown colour! Not sure if I’d call that “Nude” but it’s a beautiful russet type of shade. I don’t have any of these but now I’m thinking I need to check out that Bobbi Brown one!
I agree i wouldn’t describe as nude either! Your description is bang on! I’ve been using it all week its subtle enough for work but is also nice for the evening! I hope you can find it I think I bought it at the end of last year! 🙂 Thanks for reading:)
Try Retro by MAC sometime. It’s a peachy pinky brown shade. I love it.
