The BeGlow TIA Sonic Skin Care System* is an all-in-one beauty device that cleanses, lifts and tones the appearance of skin. It sounds fancy right? I was so intrigued to give this a go so I’ve been trialing it for a few weeks now.
What is the BeGlow TIA All-In-One Sonic Skin Care System?
The BeGlow TIA All-In-One Sonic Skin Care System is a waterproof, rechargeable sonic device and has three main uses: cleansing, anti-ageing and DualPulse contouring.
How BeGlow works
The device is double ended, with one end housing an exfoliating cleansing pad and one end has a smooth metal plate. The device uses dual-pulse technology to deliver low and high frequency pulsations. You can adjust the pulsation rate to suit your needs.
Cleansing with BeGlow
Use your favourite cleanser (I would advise using with your second cleanse, not to remove makeup) and press the control button under the exfoliating pad – once for a softer pulsation and twice for a faster one. I move the pad around my face using circular motions and work the cleanser into my skin before washing off.
The cleansing pad is super soft and the raised exfoliators aren’t at all harsh on the skin. The shape of the device fits nicely in your hand, and means you can easily move around the contours of your face, as it fits around the harder to reach areas like around the nose and on the chin. You can remove the exfoliating pad for cleaning and replace it easily, which BeGlow recommend doing once a year.
BeGlow anti-ageing
Using the control button number 2, the titanium plate helps to improve blood circulation, reduce the visibility of pores and enhances the absorption of skin care products. It has two vibration settings. It feels odd on the skin but it doesn’t hurt or cause any pain.
The titanium end helps to increase the strength and definition of facial muscles, including the jawline and cheekbones and the SkinSense technology allows pulsations to build on contact for a natural increase in intensity to encourages healthy circulation to leave skin looking radiant and energised.
DualPulse Contouring
To activate this, you need to hold control buttons 1 and 2 for three seconds to start the lifting mode and you then move the whole device around the “problem area” to target double chin and other problem areas.
My thoughts
I’ve been trialling the BeGlow TIA device for a few months now. I find the cleansing end to be really nice to use, and my skin feels particularly clean and refreshed after use. It hasn’t broken me out like brush cleansers have done in the past, and I find the rubber exfoliation to be really kind and soft on my skin. When I’ve had periods where I’ve forgotten to use it, I find my skin looks duller and doesn’t feel as squeaky clean.
The anti-ageing and contouring side however, I’ve not noticed any difference. I’m not sure if this is something that you need to utilise for a very long time before you notice the affects, but after a few months it hasn’t made visible difference to me. I also found that using it when I have a headache was detrimental to my pain so I haven’t used this side as much. Also, it would take miracles to get rid of my double chin and I’m very unsure of whether this can be effective for this!
Buy the BeGlow TIA All-In-One Sonic Skin Care System
The BeGlow TIA All-In-One Sonic Skin Care System costs £199 and you can buy it here*. You can buy the brush replacements for £14.90 here*. You can also buy BeGlow PURA, which is just the device with the cleansing pad, for £86 here* and £109 here*. The device comes in the colours white*, pink* and black*.
Overall
I really like the cleansing side of the BeGlow TIA, therefore I would probably recommend purchasing the PURA*, which just has the cleansing side, for a cheaper price. It’s also a great cleansing device for those with sensitive skin as I find it softer than the devices that use brushes to cleanse. However if you think the science behind the anti-ageing and contouring titanium plate is worth another £100 or so, then go for the TIA*.
