If you aren’t familiar with Sephora by now, well frankly, who even are you? For those that don’t know, it’s a beauty store that sells many higher end brands as well as having it’s own range, available in many countries apart from the UK. One of their most popular own brand products has to be the face masks, and I’ve tried and tested four Sephora Face Masks, including two sheet masks, an eye mask and a sleeping mask.
Sephora Rose Sheet Mask Review
How it works: the mask is enriched with rose extract to plump the skin with water for intense moisturising, giving an immediate radiance boost for fresher and brighter skin. This costs $6.
When you first open the mask, it has a strong rose scent but on application you can’t smell it at all throughout the treatment. You unwrap the mask and remove the pink sheet, and place the mask on the face and leave for 15 minutes. There’s space for the eyes, nose and mouth per usual sheet masks.
The mask is quite thin so that it moulds easily to the face and as it’s one size fits all, this is handy when its too big as you can have it folded over at the edges of the forehead so it doesn’t touch your hair and it folds under your chin and it actually stays there so it doesn’t hang off! It also isn’t too thin that it feels like it’s going to break.
The formula saturated into the sheet mask is generous and there’s plenty of it. It feels lovely and soft on the skin. The pink sheet you remove is also saturated with the formula and I applied this to my neck and massaged in to get the most out of the beneficial ingredients!
Removing the mask, there was still a lot of product left behind so I massaged it all in and my skin felt amazing. There was no tight feeling at all my skin felt re-energised and soft. I had just done a detoxifying clay mask before and that was just what it needed to inject some moisture back into my skin.
I would recommend this to anyone with dry skin or who needs a moisture boost, but I had a couple of little break outs after I used this and I’m not sure if this was the reason but if you have spot prone skin I’d perhaps avoid it just in case!
Sephora Pomegranate Face Mask Review
How it works: the mask is enriched with pomegranate fruit extract to reduce signs of fatigue, awaken and tone the skin which results in energetic, fresh and radiant skin. This costs $6.
On initial opening, the mask has a berry scent which is obviously the pomegranate, but on application you can’t smell it at all throughout the treatment. Unwrap the mask and remove the pink sheet, and place the mask on the face and leave for 15 minutes. There’s space for the eyes, nose and mouth per usual sheet masks.

The formula saturated into the sheet mask is generous and there’s plenty of it. It feels lovely and cooling on the skin. The pink sheet you remove is also saturated with the formula and I applied this to my neck and massaged in to get the most out of the beneficial ingredients!
As the mask moulded to my face it didn’t keep falling off like other sheet masks I’ve used which was nice! After the 15 minutes was up (I just sat in my dressing gown browsing Instagram because I can’t see much without my glasses on!) I felt the mask before removing and noticed that a lot of the formula had sunk into my skin. It wasn’t completely dry but definitely not as wet as when I first put it on.
It removed well and was completely in tact upon removal. My face felt *slightly* tight and there was a little bit of excess formula to rub in. As it isn’t a moisturising mask I did need to apply moisturiser afterwards.
I noticed my skin looked glowing and fresh, and upon closer inspection I noticed lots of tiny glitter particles all over my skin which I hadn’t noticed in the mask but when I fished it out the bin to have another look there was lots of glitter on the sheet!
I used this mask after I was hungover and I have to say I really did notice my skin looked fresh and radiant and much better than pre-mask! This is a great option for a post-night out pamper or if you’re super tired and need a skin boost.
I wish we had a Sephora in the UK because Sephora do face masks well and at a really affordable price. Surely we must be getting one soon!
Sephora Pearl Eye Mask Review
How it works: enriched with natural origin white pearl to even out the eye contour skin and help minimise irregularities, illuminate the skin for a more uniform, fresh and radiant look. These cost $5.
These are little Nike tick shaped think sheet masks which are designed and shaped to sit under each eye. They reach up beyond the corners of the eye and sit down onto the cheeks.
They have a lovely cooling feeling which was very welcome when I tried mine in the morning! They’re saturated with the formula which soaks into the skin around the eyes. I’m not sure how big they think peoples faces are, but the masks seem very large and I had to fold mine over so it didn’t flop over onto my eye ball!
Throughout the mask they felt comfortable and soothing, with slight tightening but nothing untoward. On removing the masks, my eyes felt suitably refreshed and lifted. However, I didn’t notice any difference to my eye bag colour, and my concealer still creased as it usually does by the end of the day.
If you feel particularly tired one morning, these would be a lovely treat to wake you up and lift the tired droopy feeling from your eyes. In terms of long term benefits, I can’t comment after one go!
Sephora Pearl Sleeping Mask Review
How it works: enriched with natural origin white pearl to even out the skin tone and help minimise irregularities, stimulates skin for high luminosity for a fresher, brighter more even skin tone. It is advised to apply a thin layer at night time and let it work overnight, washing off in the morning if necessary.
This is a gel formula that melts into the skin on application. You get a lot of product in this little pod, and it doesn’t state anywhere how many uses you get out of it. I got a good 5 uses out of this, using it every night on the trot for 5 nights. My skin was very generously covered as well so at only $4 this is great value for money. My only qualm is that you can’t re-seal it for hygiene, so I’ve been sellotaping it shut every time I use it.
It soaks into the skin within minutes so you aren’t left with any residue on the face and skin feels lovely and fresh before bed. When I wake up in the morning there’s nothing left on the skin, it completely soaks in. My skin didn’t feel particularly moisturised but nor did it feel dry, it just felt normal.
The two benefits I found from this mask was that firstly, my forehead was not at all oily when I woke up which is a great bonus and secondly, my acne scars have faded dramatically in the 5 days I’ve been using this. I’m so impressed with how it evened out my scars it’s like a miracle product! If there was a Sephora in the UK I would buy this by the bucket load cos boy, that’s amazing! They have so many other lovely sounding overnight masks too so next time I happen upon a Sephora I’m going to try more and stock up on this.
Overall
Sephora really don’t skimp on their formulas – every sheet mask I tried was saturated in it and was very very generous and the wonder of the sleeping mask is honestly a miracle! They’re so affordable and do leave a visible effect on your skin afterwards so definitely worth picking some up next time you visit. They have so many different formulas to target different problems so there is definitely one for you!
I really enjoyed putting this post together, it was a real work-in-progress as I was trying the masks each week and reporting back straight after and it was really fun to watch it all come together into one big post, so I really hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did reviewing, photographing an writing it!
Have you tried any Sephora Face Masks? I’d love to know your thoughts or any recommendations for ones I haven’t tried in the comments below!
Thanks so much for reading!

I have never tried any of the Sephora masks but would love to! I always see them at Sephora but was always hesitant as I have plenty of horror stories of me trying random face masks. However, your post has made me curious and next time I’ll buy a few to try out 😀 xx
