If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you will be well aware of my love affair with ColourPop. Despite the UK customs fees, I just can’t resist it. So when my fave US YouTuber Kathleen Lights did yet another stunning collab with them I couldn’t resist getting my hands on it. So here I have ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St Collection Review and Swatches.
The collab consists of the Dream St Palette and the Dream Team Liquid Lip Trio. They came in one big box all together, or with the palette separately, the liquid lips individually or all three in a trio.
I purchased the palette for $16 (about £12) and the Trio of liquid lips together for $15 about £11 which saves $3 on buying them all individually at $6 each. The colours are just so dreamy (not intentional, I realised after the irony of describing a collection called Dream St as dreamy) as is the rose gold and cream marbled packaging. Can you get prettier than that?!
ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St Eyeshadow Palette
This is your typical ColourPop offering of a 12 pan pressed eyeshadow palette. The names of the shades are all dream or magical related and it’s a really cute touch to the palette.
The shade range from top to bottom:
Shooting Star: matte soft golden brown
Magical: matte yellow peach
Star Dust: metallic true copper
Twinkle: metallic true rose gold
Sweet Dreams: metallic soft champagne with a peachy pink flip
Water Bearer: matte cool teal
Potion: matte vivid reddish rust
Spark: matte neon red
Kaleidoscope: metallic intense silvery nude
Elfish: matte rich red brown
Moony: satin soft baby pink
Mermaid Boy: metallic deep teal
The mattes are super pigmented but really easy to blend and the metallic shades pack a good punch, although need a couple of applications to really pop. I’d recommend using a primer underneath. There’s a bit of fall out but otherwise they formulas are buttery and nice to work with, even the mega dark shades!
I’ve been loving using Mermaid Boy, the metallic teal paired with Potion on the outer corners. A combo totally out of my comfort zone but I love it and it’s actually really wearable when you blend it.
ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream Team Liquid Lips
Two of ColourPop’s liquid lip finishes are included in the trio – two Ultra Satin and Ultra Glossy.
The Glossy formula is called Moon Child and is a pinky nude with gold glitter. The far left Satin lip is Rever, a neon orange red and the other is called Dreamy which is a pinky pink shade.
As is usual for ColourPop liquid lips, each is pigmented and apply well using their doe foot applicator and last comfortably on the lips. The ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lips are my favourite glossy formula ever!
