This gorgeous creation is the baby of British Beauty Blogger Jane who teamed up with Makeup Revolution to create this eyeshadow palette fabulously named Fortune Favours the Brave.
It isn’t your typical Makeup Revolution palette, it’s been given a varied look on the usual black symmetrically lined pans with a golden casing and the isometric lining of the shadows.
There is a gorgeous range of mattes, shimmers and sparkly baked shadows included in this palette with a huge choice of colours. Here I’ve swatched them all for you to see!
This palette has a double ended brush included that is placed in the middle of the palette which is a welcome change from no applicator at all or a sponge applicator positioned at the bottom as with other palettes.
The team behind the palette have managed to come up with names of the shades that are quirky and clever and really suit each colour.
The left side of the palette has more neutral colours and the right side has a variety of different colourful shades. Some are more pigmented than others as you will see from the swatches.
So I won’t keep you any longer, here are the swatches from the top line down –
Line 1 has a sparkly gold, a matte brown, a peach, a sparkly brown, a deep gold, a baked blue with silver running through, a matte navy blue and a sparkly bright blue.
Line 2 has a perfect highlighting shade, a baked gold and copper, a darker matte brown, a matte, hybrid khaki brown, a khaki green, a baked khaki with gold running through and a matte dark green.
Line 3 has another darker matte brown, a matte beige, a light pink shimmer, a matte gold, a matte dark purple, a baked purple and silver shimmer, and a matte black.
Line 4 has a very hard to see matte nude, a nude shimmer, a deeper rose pink shimmer, a rose gold shimmer, a baked gold and copper shimmer, a lighter matte purple, a sparkly dark purple and a shimmer purple with pink flecks.
Line 4 is my personal favourite, particularly New World (nude shimmer) and Sunset Hour (the rose gold).
There are some shades that don’t have too much pigmentation but this doesn’t take away from the palette as a whole as there are some fab shades in here! The shade and finish range is so varied you can create SO many looks with this one palette.
In terms of application there is a little fall out and are on the most part of a very buttery texture. They don’t crease or budge once applied and they blend quite nicely, even if you make a mistake it can be easily blended out.
The entire palette is so gorgeous and I love the packaging it’s so pretty to look at! I love how unique it is in its looks and shadow variety it’s such a great collaboration!
Its priced at £9.99 which is a great price for 30 shades.
