Morphe is a brand well known for it’s affordable eyeshadow palettes, so when they bought out their own Morphe Liquid Lipsticks I had to give them a go. I have the shades Peanut and Vanity and I’ve been putting them to the test to see how they perform.
Packaging
There isn’t much exciting about the packaging of these – a bog standard clear, thin tube with the Morphe branding down the side with a red M and black text, with Liquid Lip in very small font at the bottom, complete with a plain black lid. They come in a black box with a red M and white font, and have a block of colour along the bottom to show you the shade. The clear tube does mean you can see the colour of the product clearly inside.
Formula
The formula has a matte finish and is thick enough that it spreads onto the lips nicely without bleeding over, but not too thick as to feel cakey or unable to layer. The pigmentation is amazing with great colour payoff.
Application
The lipstick applies with a standard doe foot applicator with a pointed end. The shape of the wand is small enough to create sharp lines as well as fill your lips in properly. The first two times I applied this with Peanut, it went perfectly – the edge of my lips had a sharp line and it looked flawless.
The few times after that for some reason it did not go right at all I made a huge mess and I had to take it off and use something else. But then when I tried again after that it worked really well?! Not sure what went on there but as a rule I would say it applies really nicely!
Lasting Power
These really do stand the test of time, including eating a huge Nando’s! They lasted well and didn’t feel too drying on my lips, maybe towards the end of a 5 hour mark I felt a tad in need of some moisture but nothing to prevent me wearing these again. I would say these are comfortable and still feel so after a second application.
Colours and swatches
I have the shades Peanut, a warm toned terracotta brown and Vanity a cool toned rose pink. There are 22 other shades in total which is an amazing colour range for one brand!
Price
These cost £12 each which isn’t cheap, but isn’t on the higher side either. At £12 the Morphe Liquid Lips definitely sit in the middle of the scale. I actually got these for half price in the Beauty Bay Black Friday deal (see my post here)
Overall
These are really nice to use and usually apply really well for me. At £6 each I would definitely purchase another one, but at £12? I would if there was a colour I REALLY wanted and didn’t already have.
Have you tried the Morphe Liquid Lip? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below!

I’ve got two Morphe liquid lipsticks and I love their formula! I think they’re really good for the price as some drugstore ones can be really drying and I don’t find this at all with these!

Odd that sometimes they apply fine but sometimes a mess! I agree, £12 is a bit steep for a brand like Morphe… glad you snagged them half off.
Aside: I love Nando’s! We only tried them late last year while on vacation and now they have a few locations near us. YUM.

Vanity looks gorgeous and I’m glad you like these and they apply nicely and have good pigmentation. As far as doe foot applicators go I prefer smaller ones like these, they are easier to work with and offer more precision x
