Skin care is such an important aspect of a beauty routine and one you must ensure is right for your skin. Everyone’s skin is different and has needs unique to the individual.
Whenever I come across a brand that tailors their skincare products to each different skin type and needs I love trying it out as you know that they really understand the various problems that can be faced (no pun intended).
I’d never heard of the brand Super Facialist by Una Brennan before, until I was kindly asked if I wanted to try some of their products. They have a number of different ranges that are designed to be used by certain skin types.
I chose to trial products from their Vitamin C+ Brightening range* and I’ve put it to the test and I am ready to share the results with you!
I love the description of the Super Facialist by Una Brennan range on their website, I couldn’t have put it more elegantly myself :-
Created in collaboration with super facialist Úna Brennan, the SUPER FACIALIST brand offers groundbreaking products to deliver real results for healthier, more beautiful skin. Each product expertly combines superior, innovative formulations with wonderful fragrances to indulge the senses while restoring skin health. Since no two complexions are the same, the range has been specifically developed to allow for tailored regimes for each individual. Potent plants and essential oils combine with proven active ingredients to perfectly connect nature, science and the senses, resulting in simple skincare that works – for everyone.
I decided to go for the Vitamin C+ Brightening range as I really want to get into using products that brighten my skin as in the summer months I want to feel confident wearing minimal/no makeup when it’s just too hot to have foundation melting off your face!
I received the Gentle Daily Micro Polish Wash, the Skin Defence Daily Moisturiser and the Sleep and Reveal Night Cream*.
Gentle Daily Micro Polish Wash
This is a scrub you can use daily (but it is only recommended once per day) to brighten and renew the skin. It contains Ferulic Acid and Vitamins C and E which are antioxidants and help to promote brighter looking skin.
The formula is a light gel which contains microbeads (which are biodegradable) which aid in exfoliating the skin and removing dead skin cells.
The scrub is really gentle and feels so nice and kind on the skin. I have sensitive skin to some scrubs but as the beads are so small in this it can easily be used every day.
This really reminds me of the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser as it has a similar citrus scent and a very similar product feel for half the price!
You can buy this for £9.99 from Boots or directly from the Super Facialist website.
Skin Defence Daily Moisturiser
This daily moisturiser works to hydrate, protect and smooth the appearance
of wrinkles. It contains UV protection and Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid.
The texture is very light and feels almost whipped and a little goes a long way! You can apply all over your face, neck and chest for smooth feeling skin.
This also has a citrus scent which is so refreshing and welcoming first thing in the morning! My skin hasn’t reacted to this at all I’ve really enjoyed using it. This is £16.99 to buy.
Sleep and Reveal Night Cream
The night time cream of the range helps the skin to recover from any day time ageing,
effects of the sun and the environment.
It contains Vitamin C, Tomato and Licorice extracts which have anti-oxidant properties and help to rejuvenate the skin.
The texture of this is almost like butter it melts on your fingers when you apply it it’s a real pleasure to use. The skin feels moisturised and fresh before you go to bed.
Again this has the lovely citrus scent present across the whole range and I really enjoy using it! This is also £16.99 to buy.
The range
I feel that the entire range has improved my skins hydration levels and has made it look brighter and more refreshed due to the fact that it is being renewed on a daily basis.
From the Vitamin C+ range you can also get a serum, eye cream and cleansing oil. I love the packaging to this range the white and orange work well together and really express the brightening range well.
Other Super Facialist Ranges
The other ranges they have include Anti Blemish, Neroli and Retinol + so they cover every skin type and need out there. Each range has it’s own colour scheme so you can easily differentiate the ranges from one another.
I think all the packaging is lovely the text and logo look modern and clean and it looks like a high end brand but with a smaller price tag. All the products I think are really affordable especially considering all of the ingredients and research that has gone into each product.
I love that there is a whole range dedicated to certain skin types and needs and each product contains the same and similar ingredients to really hammer home the result you want out of it.
Have you tried anything from the Super Facialist ranges? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!
*These products were sent to me for free in exchange for my honest opinion which are all my own

These look great, I’ve heard of the Ultra Facialist range, but I just haven’t tried any out yet – it’s always been one of those brands that have been, one day I’ll get around to it, but rarely do!
