If you didn’t know this by now, saying I am a huge Friends fan would be a slight understatement. Huge in fact. I am obsessed with Friends. With Rachel Green being one of the biggest style icons of the 90s, when I saw an article with the exact lipstick Rachel used to wear in Friends for a lot of the episodes, I had to get it, of course I did. I’d be a fool not to, right?!. So this is the exact lipstick Rachel Green wore in Friends…
Jennifer Aniston did an interview with Glamour Magazine and revealed the exact lipstick and shade she wore a lot when filming. I’m definitely a hybrid mix between Monica and Rachel, so I had to know what it was – a MAC satin lipstick in the shade Paramount*. In her interview, Jennifer said:
“They’re always sort of regurgitating trends. How about MAC’s Paramount lipstick? It was a browny brick. I remember that was my go-to colour when I was doing Friends.”Quote from Cosmopolitan article
So naturally, I bought it, as who wouldn’t want to look like the biggest style/fashion/beauty/hair icon from one of the biggest sitcoms on TV?! I watch it everyday without fail and I can quote probably 80% of the show. I’m of the age where I watched “I got off the plane” live on Channel 4 on a Friday night. Yes, I’m that old. Still just as obsessed to this day. I think I’m single-handedly keeping Netflix views at an all time high and keeping Comedy Central showing Friends as much as they do.
The Satin lipsticks from MAC have a velvet sheen and are really moisturising on the lips. Paramount is a browny/brick shade, described by MAC as Described as a ‘warm brown with a satin finish’ and it is the most perfect autumn shade I’ve ever seen, so the timing was perfect. It’s so comfortable to wear and it applies so nicely and precisely and surprisingly lasts well throughout food, absolute winner.
