As a beauty lover, I’m always on the look out for new brands to wow me, and sometimes I think smaller brands don’t get noticed like the big ones do. I’m always excited to give new brands a go and I’m happy to introduce Crown. I have a selection of goodies from the brand to try out and report back on.
The main focus of Crown is eyeshadow palettes and their brush sets, but they have so much more than that. To try out I have an eyeshadow palette, brush set, setting spray, matte liquid lipstick and a lip gloss* which I think covers what they have to offer nicely across the board.
Crown 35 Colour Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is very similar to that of the Morphe offerings, but this one has a gorgeous rose gold theme. I mean, we all know I’m a sucker for anything rose gold (blogger cliche? I don’t care!) so this palette was right up my street.
It’s such a pretty mix of mattes, shimmers and metallics with pinks, corals, oranges, browns, gold, rose gold and champagne shades. I swatched some of my favourite shades, as it would have been near impossible to do all 35, but you can see the pigmentation and buttery softness you want from an eyeshadow palette is there. This costs £22.99 which is on par with the Morphe offerings.
Crown All Day Setting Spray
This setting spray can be applied both before and after makeup to ensure your makeup stays put. The spray has a very slight chemical scent and the spray is quite powerful and doesn’t spread very far, so be sure to hold to hold it away from your face before you spray! It’s as good as any other setting spray I’ve tried and costs £10.
Crown Purple HD Makeup Brush Set
I had to get a brush set as it’s one of their main selling points, and I knew I had to get this one as it’s so pretty. Each are very very soft and blend makeup well. The set includes one of each of the following all inside a purple patent case:
- Pro Powder
- Tapered Blush
- Deluxe Contour
- Chisel Shadow
- Crease Blender
- Detail Liner
- Mirror
- Pair of Purple tweezers
Crown Pro Lip Gloss in Coco
I’m loving lip gloss at the moment so had to try one of these. I chose coco as it’s a perfect every day nude and that’s just what I need at the mo with the warmer weather. The tube is clear with a matte black lid which pulls off to reveal a pointed and shaped wand.
The shape of the wand hugs the contour of your lips perfectly for a really nice application. The formula is pigmented and looks nice and bonus that it smells like sweeties! As with all lip glosses you have to re-apply regularly but I’m very impressed with this. This costs a respectable, slightly over the high street pricing, £9.99.
Crown Pro Long Lasting Matte Lip Stain in Dusty Rose
I couldn’t try a brand without trying out a liquid lipstick. The shade is dusty rose but this is more of a rose brown than pink. It does what it says on the tin – boy does it stain your lips and not budge!! This took a hell of a lot of effort to remove which means it stays on a hella long time. The doe foot applicator allowed for a super neat application too. This costs £9.99.

That palette is beautiful, it’s nice to see so many rose gold tones and not as many mauve-pinks! The purple brush set is gorgeous and the gloss looks like such a nice colour for year round wear xx
