Is there any better sentence than “chocolate delivered to your door”? I think not. Chocolate is my utter downfall and I’d take it over sweets any day, so to have it pushed straight through the letter box without having to even leave my house is an incredible concept, and for that I have The Slabb to thank.
I was kindly gifted my choice of a boozy slab of chocolate from The Slabb* and they delivered it to me, complete with tissue paper wrapping, now that’s service. The Slabb is owned by chocolate lovers Holly and Stuart, and their creativity with it is amazing.
The Slabb concept is that they have a core range of flavours, which includes flavours like Baileys, gin, bourbon, peanut butter, salted caramel and pina colada. I chose The Baileys One as I love Baileys and I love milk chocolate and when you mix those together, boy do you get a winning combination.
They also have a chocolate subscription and their #100slabbchallenge, where each week their customers vote in an exclusive Facebook group what they want the next limited edition flavour to be, then the winning recipe is sent out to all subscribers.
The flavours chosen in the #100slabbchallenge range have been ones like jaffa cake (hello yes I want that to be permanent pls), brownie, stroopwaffle, mint oreo (also need this one permanently in my life) cherry amaretto and licorice allsorts to name a few.
Each bar is unique with additional treats, you don’t just get your average chocolate bar with The Slabb. Creating such a personal touch to the flavours is what makes The Slabb a unique and innovative confectionery brand and the #100slabbchallenge definitely makes you feel more invested in the subscription service and makes it all that more special.
The prices of the core range are £5.95 for a 150g bar, or £11 for two. The subscription costs just £6.95 including delivery and you can join and cancel at any time. They guarantee you will never get a repeat Slabb and the flavours are chosen from the existing core range or the #100slabbchallenge.
You can choose to have a vegan subscription, and if you dislike a certain ingredient you can make it known so you won’t receive anything with that in. Boxes are shipped at the beginning of each month and just FYI, the cut off is the 26th of the month before to guarantee a bar.
This is such a brilliant concept for anyone who loves chocolate and wants a fuss free way to try new, fun and adventurous flavours. Such a wonderful idea from two hard working and creative people!
