Crowd Colour are a custom makeup brand that allow you to personalise your makeup products. I first heard about them on Twitter when a fellow blogger tweeted about backing their Kickstarter campaign to raise money to begin their business venture.
How it works is they offer different products for different amounts of money and you choose which pledge you want to give. They currently only do palettes, lipsticks and lip glosses.
I chose the small palette that came with a free lipstick.
The palette comes empty and you fill it yourself. You choose the background design you want plus any text or pictures you want on it. I chose the grey marble design which matches most of my blog post photos and chose to have my blog name in pink in as close a font to my signature as I could!
The palette is actually made of cardboard and I was quite disappointed in the quality I expected it to be plastic.
It does have a mirror on the inside of the lid which is a bonus. So now I just need to fill it I currently don’t have anything to go in it!
The lipstick is more sturdy and comes in gorgeous shiny packaging. You are limited to the characters you can have on it so I wasn’t able to get my full blog name on there.
There were a variety of colours to choose from and I chose the first one on the list which looked to me like a dusky purple colour which I thought looked lovely, but turns out my computer screen has a very different colour to reality and it was actually a very light coral colour.
It is still nice and will be perfect for the upcoming spring season (if it ever comes!) but to be honest I didn’t get it for the colour it’s more a novelty to sit on my dressing table plus it was a bonus extra.
The lipstick says it is creamy, but it isn’t very pigmented and I would say it’s more of a sheeny finish with a hint of cream?! If that’s possible!
Anywho it was nice to get these two personalised items and they do look pretty and definitely put my own personalised stamp on my dressing table!
I was disappointed in the quality of the palette but not the lipstick, so silver linings! (get it, the lipstick is silver?! clever I know right)

This such a great idea for gifts! 🙂 I love the way you can personalize makeup, someone though smart. Agreed with you, lipstick looks nice but seems a bit less pigmented than expected.
