Today I’m reviewing this gorgeous release from Maxfactor – the Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Collection!
I adore the sexy red packaging they’ve got it spot on it fits the collection name down to a T! These lipsticks really capture Marilyn’s essence.
There are 4 different colours in this collection and I have 3 here to show you – numbers 2, 3 and 4.
There is such a diverse range of reds in the collection I didn’t think it was possible to have so many different reds!
Number 2 is called Sunset Red and it is a very bright classic red. Number 3 is called Berry and I think it has a pinky coral undertone to it. Number 4 is Cabernet and this is a deeper red with burgundy undertones.
The finish of them is a mixture between sheen and creamy and it swipes on so easily without any pull. They are really easy to apply considering they are red lipsticks which are usually very high maintenance!
They are actually long lasting and remained after I had eaten my dinner!
These are available at Boots and are £7.99 which, given the size, packaging and longevity of these lipsticks is totally worth it! If you are looking for a creamy low maintenance red to suit all occasions that isn’t drying look no further than these.
Have you tried any of these yet? Let me know below!
Thanks so much for reading!

Wow, these look amazing! I like #2 Sunset Red and #4 Cabernet. 🙂 The tube design reminds me a LOT of their sister brand, Cover Girl’s

I did realise they were the sister brand!! Do they have max factor in Canada? Xx
stashmatters says
No, we don’t have Max Factor anymore, they left the North American market a few years ago:

They’re both owned by P&G and a lot of the products are exactly the same, just with a different name. 🙂

Ooh it sounds like a good compromise then! 🙂

I wish they still sold Max Factor in the States (they stopped sometime in the 90s). They were one of my fave drugstore brands.
