L’Oréal Colour Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks 

L’Oréal have bought out gold lipsticks. Gold lipsticks! They have expanded their Colour Riche Lipstick range to include some gold inspired choices with a metallic finish.

Anything with a bit of added gold is right up my street so when I saw this launch all over a few bigger bloggers sites, I had to check it out for myself!

L’Oréal describe these on the website as:

Wrapped in 24-Carat Gold for a statement metallic look. Enriched with Vitamin E and Omega-3 oils, the Gold Obsession collection features 5 new gold lipstick hues. Discover Nude Gold, Rose Gold, Rouge Gold, Plum Gold, and Pure Gold lipstick, perfect for illuminating your make up look.

I liked three of the five colour choices:

I love the gold packaging of the usual Colour Riche lipsticks but with matte black running along and fading out with the bold black writing to differentiate it from the original and they each have a smart pointed bullet

Wear wise the lipsticks have quite a sheer, shiny finish but are buildable to a more pigmented pop of colour. The swatches below were with 3-4 swipes of the bullet.

I was so excited to try out the Pure Gold as I thought it would be fab for the festive season either on it’s own or to add a pop of gold to any lip colour. This is the shade with the most obvious metallic gold. This looks fab on top of a red lipstick.

Plum gold is a lovely shade of purple with, again, subtle specs of gold running through it. Another lovely winter shade with subtle shimmer.

Nude Gold is a lovely peachy nude with subtle flecks of gold and would be perfect to add a bit of sparkle to any day time look.
