Spots and blemishes are things I suffer from on an all too regular basis so finding products that help clear my skin up is a skincare priority.
I’ve mentioned before that the LUSH Tea Tree Toner is a must have product in my routine, but when my skin is really playing up I turn to the Mask of Magnaminty for a good pamper session.
A firm LUSH favourite that now comes in the self preserving range, there’s good reason for it’s hype.

The Mask of Magnaminty has been a long term purchase of mine from LUSH, but this particular pot I was lucky enough to receive in a goodie bag from the event I recently had the pleasure of going too, which you can read about here.

PACKAGING
The mask comes in your typical LUSH black pot with a screw on lid, which is one of the ones you can save 5 of and receive a free fresh mask! The text is written in white trademark LUSH font which stands out against the black background.

INGREDIENTS
The LUSH website says:
this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you wash it away. There’s mineral rich kaolin to nourish, honey for its antibacterial properties, and we used just the right amount of peppermint oil to stimulate blood cells under the surface of your skin and leave your skin looking bright and refreshed.
All great natural ingredients that help to reduce blemishes and clear the skin!

TEXTURE
The mask isn’t smooth but it’s easy to distribute onto the skin. It feels exfoliating without being harsh on the skin. The product itself is green so you look alarming when you have it on! Definitely not one to do when there’s chance the postman could knock!

FEEL
It has a minty smell and it feels tingly on the skin. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes until it hardens and wipe it off with a flannel afterwards.

RESULTS
My skin feels so refreshed and clean when I’ve used this mask. It’s like all my oil has been lifted away. Blemishes don’t last very long after I’ve used this as well.

PRICE
You can get this in both the self preserving range which lasts longer, as well as the usual fresh mask with a shorter date. You can get this for £6.95 for 125g, £12.50 for 315g or you can get a whopping 600g for £19.95. Considering the price of high end masks and the fact that LUSH uses all natural ingredients, this is definitely good value.

OVERALL
This is a must if you suffer from oily skin and blemishes and want a refreshing face mask that isn’t harsh on the skin. A must have in my stash!
