Contouring. Not gonna lie it’s not something I’m amazing at. It’s hard to find one that works for pale skin and blends nicely.
So I’ve been on a mission to find a contour kit that is quick and easy to use for everyday, doesn’t look like I’ve wiped mud on my face and doesn’t cost a fortune.
Enter this little kit – the Define and Conquer Contour Kit from Boots brand Seventeen.
Seventeen is a brand by Boots that is so on trend and modern yet so affordable. They don’t compromise on their quality and have wow factor packaging.
This Define and Conquer Contour Kit (which, btw, has an amazing name) is a matte contour kit containing powders with a contour shade and a highlight shade.
There is no shimmer to be found in this kit. I have the shade Fair. There is also a Medium shade.
So let me tell you my thoughts on this –
APPLICATION
This blends like a dream compared to other contour kits I’ve tried where I’ve ended up blending and scrubbing for ages as it just marks the face and looks muddy. This does not look muddy at all.
It even comes with a handy guide that tells you how and where to apply it!
COLOUR
The shade Fair is great for my pale skin without looking too dark. So pale faced ladies this is the one for you, I’ve finally found one that doesn’t look muddy!
TEXTURE
It is pigmented enough to be subtly applied but build-able if necessary and is nicely finely milled considering it’s a drugstore product. I was pleasantly surprised!
HIGHLIGHT
The highlight is completely matte and is a great way of lightening the areas of your face without the glitter. I apply it over my forehead, nose, cupids bow, top of the cheek bone and under my eyes to help set concealer!
USE
This is absolutely perfect for an everyday look due to it’s easy application and matte finish.
PACKAGING
The packaging reminds me of NARS with the curved edges and monochrome design. It’s super modern and appeals to all ages and trends.
SWATCHES
OVERALL
This fab little contour kit is only £5.99 usually in Boots which is a great price for an everyday easy to use contour and highlight. A win win in my books! I’ve been reaching for this most days for work!

We used to have Boots! My uncle owned a Boots pharmacy. And then they all closed down. We do still have No7 skincare carried at our main drugstore – I’m not sure if they have an affiliation with Boots at all.
Here’s the bit about Boots in Canada:
