This year I was lucky enough to have the Marks and Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar. It’s contents were apparently worth £250, for just £35 when you spent £35 on other items.
The products inside were generally very good each day and I have rounded up my fave 5 products from all 25 you got.
The calendar had 25 doors and was presented in little boxes, each with a different shape and design all in the shape of a little house. It’s super cute and was a pleasure to open as each was like a mini present!
My Mum bought the calendar and we shared between us two and my sister, so we opened it every third day. I had the advantage of knowing what was inside it thanks to a few of my fave beauty blogs, and bagsied a couple of things ahead of time, got lucky on some others as well as not so lucky!
My favourite item which came up on my second day of opening was the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Perla. I am loving Stila at the moment and have one full size Stay All Day as well as three mini’s from their Warm and Fuzzy Christmas set (which I bought in the black Friday sale at Beauty Bay here) so was excited this landed on my day! The shade Perla is a gorgeous cool toned pink and I cannot wait to wear it in Spring!
Next up my Mum saved this one for me and it’s the Pixi LipLift Max Lipgloss in Honey Sheen. If you’ve ever tried Soap & Glory Mother Pucker you will know exactly what scent this is and what it does – it has a minty smell and it makes your lips tingle so you feel like you want to pout, thus making your lips look bigger, no fillers required! This is a peachy shade with pearlescent shimmer running through it which will look gorgeous as a lip topper in spring.
Something I’ve wanted to try for agess is the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleanser after I’ve heard it raved about on so many blogs. Again my Mum donated this to me very kindly and I’ve used it all up already! I got a good few cleanses out of this small size, I would say a good 10 days use which is very surprising. It feels gorgeous and silky on the skin and it removes makeup so well but the scent reminds me so much of toilet cleaner I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing!
A happy accident was me getting this Alpha H Liquid Gold Rose as again I’ve wanted to try Alpha H for a while! I’ve yet to try it out but I’m looking forward to it as it’s raved about in the blogosphere.
This one is where I didn’t get lucky and the one thing I wanted but didn’t get was my sister’s Shay & Blue Blood Orange Perfume. I didn’t know I wanted it until I smelt it but it is so gorgeous! The bottle has the lovely vintage look about it and she even bought the large bottle for my Mum for Christmas so everyone has one but me! I will definitely be treating myself to it next time as I love the warm and citrus scent.
So these are my top 5 picks, but overall the calendar was a good’un. I will definitely be getting my own next year as I love the way it’s presented in the little boxes and all of the products are ones you can use. Great compilation from Marks & Spencer!
What calendar did you have this year? Did you enjoy the things you got in it?

Oh this does look like a good buy! I will hopefully remember to try this next year too!
I always assumed that all the products would just be M&S branded so I never thought to look at that advent calender 🙂

I’ve never tried a beauty advent calendar before, but this one seems like a good one as it includes many different brands <3
