Dupe alert! W7 The Naughty Nines in Arabian Nights is a fab dupe for MAC Amber Times Nine palette.
W7 is a brand that definitely doesn’t get the attention it deserves yet it is notorious for producing amazing dupes for high end products. It doesn’t have a huge shop presence, especially not where I live as I only ever see it in TK Maxx or B and M Bargains. I usually shop for it on eBay.
Today I have for you this palette that is an exact replica of MACs Amber Times Nine palette which retails at £30. This W7 version is TEN times cheaper at around £3.00. You do the maths on that one, I know what I’d rather pay!
I know I know I can hear you all screaming but is it just as good as MAC?! The truth is I haven’t tried MACs palette but on comparing photos online the colours are exactly the same and what I can tell you is how well the W7 palette performs.
I actually saw this palette on Rachael’s blog Helpless Whilst Drying and she immediately made me want to buy it so I went on eBay and ordered it straight away, obvs. She puts the 2 palettes side by side and compares them down to a T and actually chooses W7 as the winning palette out of the two on a shade by shade test!
COLOURS
The colour range is a variety of nude browns, bronzes and golds with a mixture of mattes and shimmers. A good all rounder that can take you from day to night.
APPLICATION
The matte of these shadows are a bit chalky but if you are consistent and do a couple of layers they are fine and easily build-able. The shimmers are slightly more buttery. There is a little fall out but this isn’t enough to make it hard to use.
SWATCHES
You can see the darker colours are more pigmented then the lighter ones.
The swatches start from the top row and go along each row beginning with the left hand side.
STAYING POWER
These last a decent length of time without creasing or going patchy.
OVERALL
Overall even without it being a dupe, this is a lovely little palette and well worth the money you pay. It’s a great all rounder especially for you nude lovers out there! It’s an even bigger bonus that it happens to be a great budget alternative to a high end version.
You can buy on eBay from the seller I bought mine from for £3.25 but I think you can get it even cheaper from some sellers if you feel like having a look around!
Have you tried this palette? What did you think? Let me know below!

Thanks for the mention Sophie! I love this still love this palette and find myself reaching for it often, I especially really like the pale colours in the crease for blending out, even if I’m using other colours from other palettes I’m finding myself dig this out for those colours at least!
Basically haven’t used the MAC version since this! xxx

This palette looks really nice for everyday looks for the office or a lazy Saturday. I have only seen a few W& products in the U.S, but you never know I might get lucky and find this one. Great post.
