Ok so again this month has FLOWN by and we are soon to be in October, what?! I always enjoy September as it’s my birthday month (the 16th, if you want to mark your calendar for next year ;-)) and the weather is always decent.
Everyone in the UK is getting excited for Autumn, but having spent my first full month in the Bahamas, I can safely say there is no Autumn weather here. No sir, September here is like Summer is supposed to be in England, except maybe even hotter, and it’s been glorious.
So I can’t get excited for cosy nights with blankets and hot chocolate as in my spare time I’m in my swimming costume or inside with the air con on. Slightly different to the September I’m used too at home!
As a result, my makeup and beauty routine is still very warm weather orientated as you will see from my favourites of this month.
There was no doubt that the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette was going to make it into my favourites! If you haven’t read my review on it yet, you can do so here and you will see exactly why I love it and why you need it.
The warm tone shades work well for sunshine as well as Autumn weather which makes it a super versatile warm shadow choice. With coppers, reds, oranges and bronzes in a mixture of matte and shimmers, you won’t be disappointed with the pigmentation and blendability. I haven’t put it down since I got it!
I’ve rarely been able to stomach a matte lip since I moved here as the heat makes it feel so uncomfortable so I’ve been reaching for lip gloss which is something I never thought I’d favour. I’ve loved the ColourPop Glossy Lip in Aquarius as the nude tones mean it goes with any eye look, especially a warm toned one!
The gloss is pigmented enough to add colour whilst being a light texture that you can barely tell is on. I’ve ordered some more glosses from ColourPop as a result and I can’t wait to try them out!
My favourite scent for summer has to be Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess as the ombre orange glass bottle screams summer (and also compliments the Naked Heat Palette really well, just sayin’).
The scent is the smell of sunshine to me and is a subtle enough fragrance that is isn’t overpowering, especially in the heat. The notes of Bergamot, warm Amber, Tiare Flower, Vanilla and creamy Coconut all mix together to create the epitome of a summers day.
Of course the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray had to make an appearance as this has really kept my makeup in place and shine at bay on the rare occasion I’ve been wearing makeup. I’ve got a full review on it coming this week if you want to read all about it. A must if you have oily skin!
Finally, I am so gutted to say that LUSH’s The Comforter is being discontinued so I stocked up on a big one and have been using it ever since. The blackcurrant scent is my absolute favourite LUSH fragrance and I enjoy it over and over again every time I shower. I am so sad this is going and this is my last bottle ever. LUSH, if you’re reading this, please bring it back!
So that’s what I’ve been loving this month! Have you tried any of these? I’d love to know your comments below!
Thank you so much for reading!

I recently scored the old packaging of De-Slick at Nordstrom Rack for like $18. I haven’t used it much yet though. I have several setting sprays I rotate through.

Some great picks here! I’ve been loving the Naked Heat palette too and I’ve loved the All Nighter setting spray from Urban Decay for ages but haven’t tried the Deslick one even though I have oily skin! I think I might have to give it a go!
